GORAFE DESERT - LOS COLORADOS4x4 ROUTES
A magical landscape, yet to be discovered...
Pleasant and interesting, the Classic and Desert-Toril routes offer a variety of points of geological, archaeological and cultural interest. The different stops will allow us to see and interpret the landscape and observe minerals.
The itineraries begin in the Llano de Olivares where we will learn about the geological evolution of the valley of Gorafe, then we will go down the dirt roads of the Desert of Gorafe until we reach the impressive chain of Los Colorados giving the landscape the prominence it deserves, we chose the key places of geological and scenic interest, according to the duration of the route. It should be noted that although an approximate duration is indicated, Geopark Granada is at your disposal for photos, walks, or simply to enjoy the silence of our territory.

We have three itineraries of several hours of duration through the Desert and the Geopark of Granada. In these routes we will interpret the landscape and we will see how this conditions later in the life of the first human settlers of the area in addition to discovering a great diversity of interpreted geological itineraries.
We recommend that visitors bring comfortable clothing and footwear, warm clothing (depending on the season) and water (depending on the season).
4x4 route "Circular"
Circular 4x4 route, 65€ (VAT excluded) per person. Minimum 2 people.
Duration: 4 - 5 hours approximately.
Language: Spanish and english
The route includes: Local guide, Route and RC and accident insurance.
What you need: Comfortable clothes and shoes. In summer it is recommended to bring a hat or cap and water.
In this excursion we offer you to see ...
- Points with the most impressive views of the desert of Gorafe and Los Colorados.
- We will descend one of the slopes of the desert of Gorafe, passing (among other points) the "fillets", the hill of Los Pinos (known by the locals as Loma Bandera), Los Anchurones, Tollo de Chiclana and Los Colorados.
- Return to Gorafe by a parallel track, that is to say, the itinerary, besides the detours to see and report, is circular.

4x4 route "Desierto y Toril"
Route 4×4 Desert and Toril: 60€ (VAT excluded) per person. 2 persons minimum.
This proposal is an excursion of medium duration (approximately 5:00 hours), adding however a visit to the prehistoric irrigation ditch of Toril. It offers, in addition to the stops foreseen in all our excursions, a walk of 1 hour and a half, very quiet and suitable for all those who do not have difficulty walking on easy paths. In addition, it will be possible to observe a geological accident known as 'Angular discordance of Gorafe'. The photos that we put here are the ones we took during our excursions and that we have chosen for being more representative.

- Diversions to the territorial limit of Gorafe-Dehesas de Guadix and descent to Villanueva de Las Torres.
- Prehistoric irrigation ditch of Toril and annexed dolmens.

Desert and Toril
4x4 route "The Colorados"
Route 4×4 "los Coloraos": 50€ (VAT excluded) per person. 2 persons minimum.
This proposal is an excursion of short duration (between 2:30 and 3:00 hours), for those who prefer a shorter excursion, we have this route that, although shorter in time, we can enjoy the most significant and beautiful places of the Gorafe Desert and surroundings, such as the Bacor viewpoint and the Don Diego viewpoint with views of the whole area. The photos that we put are the ones we took during our excursions and that we have chosen for being more representative.
