HOW TO CHOOSE A ROUTE?
Where do we work?
Geopark Granada works mainly in the Hoya de Guadix Baza, an intra-mountainous depression that for its genesis is divided into two sub-basins and a central area and specifically in the Gorafe Desert and surroundings. Our excursions are prepared looking for points of scenic, geological and historical interest.
So..., what is the right route?
To know which route to choose, you must take into account the following points:
Duration: Depending on the route it may vary (Check the duration of each route in its corresponding table).
You may get tired: In our routes we do not do anything extreme but in some itineraries we have decided to incorporate some walks, of different lengths, which if you are not used to can get tired (Check the difficulty of each route in the table).
Once we are clear about the points to take into account when choosing an excursion, we will now explain a little about each of our itineraries so that you can evaluate which one is ideal for you.

For the trekking excursions, we decided to reduce the offer only to the Guadix basin, in the area of the Gorafe Desert and Los Colorados. The chosen area, of approximately 160 km2, is full of spectacular landscapes, geology and hikes feasible for people who are in good physical shape. They are not suitable for those who are not used to hiking in unprepared terrain (mainly in areas not covered by trails).
