INFORMATION

The Algarves caves of Gorafe are bioclimatic houses carved in clay, traditionally restored and south-facing, maintained throughout the year at a temperature of 19-22 degrees Celsius. Accommodation in a troglodyte area, located in Gorafe, a small village of less than 600 inhabitants, located in the Guadix and Marquesado region, northeast of Granada (100 km). The region is known for its rich archaeological and historical heritage, with one of the largest concentrations of "dolmens" in Europe, more than 250 scattered across the 11 necropolises that make up the Gorafe Megalithic Park.

The Algarves caves of Gorafe have solar thermal energy; equipped kitchens, full bathrooms, skylights, wood-burning fireplace or wood stove, TV. The dining rooms and kitchen feature comfortable clay-carved sofas, wooden furniture, fire extinguishers, and board games. Accessed by a short path of less than 100 m.
